Relationship counseling can take many forms. I often meet with individuals and couples trying to define, understand, and strengthen their relationships. I’ve earned a reputation for being down-to-earth and honest with couples seeking the tools needed to successfully repair and grow their relationships. You will often find yourself with homework to practice the strategies we discuss in therapy. With patience and effort, we’ll work together to restore your relationship.
I specialize in helping individuals and couples through a variety of sexual struggles. I work with men looking to address issues like erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and low desire.
I’ve also found success in treating women’s common sexual health issues like low desire, sex during and after pregnancy, negative body image, and vaginal pain disorders. I have a wide breadth of experience in helping individuals and couples to move beyond the paralysis and negative thoughts that sexual trauma brings.
I am LGBTQIA+-friendly and happily work with individuals and couples from all backgrounds, beliefs, and persuasions. Alt-relationship configurations welcome. Come as you are.
Kink-aware practitioners are therapists and educators that have additional training and insight into the diverse expressions of sexuality. I enjoy working with people involved in “kinky” sexuality (leather, BDSM, fetish, polyamory, the Lifestyle etc.) and have extensive training in these areas.
For couples planning to marry, I have developed a 6-week premarital counseling course that covers the most common struggles couples face. Each session focuses on themes developed from my experience as a marriage and relationship counselor trying to help repair broken marriages. By proactively addressing the issues, we can develop tools and strategies that will last a lifetime.
“I would encourage every couple to add premarital counseling to that list. It was an effective tool that better prepared us for married life. Dreya provided us with the techniques and skills we needed to have more fruitful conversations and better deal with potential conflict in our marriage. We were able to openly discuss our core values to understand where we were on the same page, and where we were not. This allowed us to acknowledge where compromise would be necessary…”-K.N.
Whether you are struggling with anxiety or depression, stress, life changes, lack of sexual desire, or difficulty in your relationship(s), we will work together to identify your goals and lay out a path to achieve them. I have a passion for helping clients who wish to restore love, passion, intimacy, and respect to their relationship(s). Having grown up in several different countries, I enjoy working with clients from a variety of lifestyles, backgrounds, and systems of belief.
I take an integrative approach to therapy and adapt therapy to the individual needs and goals of each client. Creating an environment where clients feel heard, safe, and respected is something I highly value. I am a down-to-earth and discerning therapist who speaks truth with kindness. I believe that you get out of therapy what you put into therapy. Becoming your best self is a personal journey that I would be honored to walk alongside of you on.
Currently enrolled with the Modern Sex Therapy Institute, I am a doctoral candidate in Clinical Sexology.
